Breathing

The main concern of Pilates is breathing since when learning is done correctly everyone can gain full control of his body and mental calmness. Most, if not all, of the Pilates exercises are based mainly on the breathing process.

Below we will analyze some of the basic exercises that you can apply even in your personal space:

Bridge

Start lying on your back and give boost to your pelvis upwards. It will help a lot if you tighten the abdomen and buttocks before applying the exercise. It is the most appropriate exercise to strengthen the back of the legs.

Swimming

Start facing down, stretching your arms in front of your head. Stretch both the right arm and left leg and hold for 5 seconds. Do the same this time with the other arm and leg. Repeat 5 times and pay attention to the neck as it should be in line with the head.

Cat distension

This distension is perfect for spine stretching. Sit facing down with your knees bent and move up and down your back slowly. The head and pelvis are stable.

Particular importance has the selection of the gym and fitness coach. Pilates will give you the results you desire it’s when done by trainers who know this fitness technique so in this way you will exercise safely.
